Su estilo ha sido el nu metal y el rapcore; sin embargo, en su último álbum Minutes To Midnight el género que más predomina es el rock alternativo. La banda ha vendido más de 60 millones de discos y ha recibido 3 premios Grammy.[1] [2] El grupo se hizo famoso gracias a su disco debut Hybrid Theory que ha vendido más de 25 millones de copias , siendo el disco más vendido del siglo XXI y el debut más vendido de la historia . Su nombre hace homenaje a Lincoln Park de Santa Mónica, EE.UU. En el 2003, MTV2 nombró a Linkin Park la sexta mejor banda en la era del video musical y la tercera mejor banda del nuevo milenio detras de Oasis y Coldplay.
