Los Sueños Se Hacen Realidades♥ L Lawliet (ローライト・ 456;ル Rōraito Eru) se trata de un brillante detective privado, que ha descifrado los casos mundiales más complicados, y que tiene la intención de atrapar a Kira para hacer cumplir la ley. Sus deducciones son brillantes, como las de Light en manera de pensar. Es conocido en muchos países por haber trabajado para ellos, pero nadie conoce su verdadera identidad ni su rostro. Por su misma genialidad es una persona bastante depravada, capaz de realizar cualquier cosa con tal de lograr su cometido. Se caracteriza por sus grandes ojos siempre con ojeras, su cabello largo y alborotado y sus extrañas costumbres como jugar con su comida, comer muchos dulces que dice que lo hacen razonar mejor, andar siempre descalzo, caminar encorvado y sentarse de una manera extraña. Cuando no esta serio, es bastante gracioso. Se revela su nombre real en el tomo especial del manga nº 13, siendo éste L Lawliet, como puede verse en la tarjeta especial que viene en el How to read y en la Death Note de la segunda película Live Action, Death Note: The Last Name.
